Armchair Travel

4 posts

Travelling in the physical meaning of the world is not always possible. Family obligations, healthy conditions, COVID-19 crisis… The world is a fluid space and so are our lives. However, are human beings, we are inventive and resourceful creatures. And we always have a choice. Instead of closing yourselves and giving up to the hopelessness and negativity, keep exploring the world, but this time – one book at a time! Armchair travel is for those who don’t recognise limitations for their minds.

From best-selling author writing about how to make the best of your life in Japan to a young woman’s story crossing the deadliest Australia Outback on her own accompanied only by her camels, there are stories that fascinate us no matter how long time had passed. The stories of the people before us, those who dared to cross the deserts or face the unbreakable rules of a thousand’ years old culture. Read the pages, we walk in the footsteps and trough their journeys we learn more about ourselves. Moreover, we gain the confidence that we, just like them, are capable of facing our fears and walking our inner discoveries.

Reading books about self discovery and travel can be the best way to spend your difficult days. The deep-digging, purpose-searching stories of others, who went on a journey, travelling the roads while spiritually discovering their inner selves, can show us just how beautiful and beneficial such experience can be.

“I dreamed of Africa” is only one of the books that will make your desire to travel to Africa burn as an eternal fire…. Because once you step on this amazing continent, you will love it forever. Africa is the birth of the humanity but more importantly, it is still today the place where the people, at their will or not, live the simplest life.

Traveling solo can be quite scary and challenging for a woman who never done it before. That’s why I suggest you read some of these books. You will see what other women have done and most importantly how they’ve done it. You will gain some confidence, will be entertained by the travel stories, and will learn some invaluable tips from the world’s expert on the matter…
