Why Visit Amsterdam? The Ladies’Guide

There are 10 reasons listed here that according to me are enough to make every woman visit Amsterdam. Maybe you will add some more?

1- Men are tall and really handsome. Although they say that Dutch man are no good in flirting.

2- Walking around is easy and safe. The distances are short and the central part is almost totally pedestrian.

3- Amsterdam has a very unique atmosphere. There is no second city like that in the world.

4- The small boutique shops are adorable. You will find them, especially in Jordaan District.

5- Personal life is on display through the windows of the houses. There are no curtains, no blinds.

6- Slow life but speedy bicycle riders. Very few of the European cities will let you enjoy the moment in such peaceful way like Amsterdam.

7- Green and kids-friendly city. The whole year there is green vegetation wherever you walk and families with 2-3 kids are a common sight.

8- Don’t buy marijuana, will get it for free by walking at the front of the coffee shops, and they are everywhere.

9- See the Red Light District; you will not be really disgusted. It’s more like tourist sight, and even tourists with kids are passing by.

10- Artis Zoo is one of the best zoos in Europe. You need one full day to see all animals, especially in the warm seasons. (My favorites are      the giraffes, zebras, and penguins).

  1. This is perhaps the first post I read about Amsterdam that actually makes me want to see it (especially being single far too long 🙂 ). Thank you Geri!

  2. Amsterdam is my favorite city. I’ve been there a few times before, and I absolutely love it. The architecture, water canals, bike friendly environment….always makes me come back. And if you add Dutch cheese to the mix, it can’t get any better than this 🙂

    • Yes, I would like to go back too. Lucy, thank you for your comment. And yes – you are right – I forgot the cheese! 🙂

      • I hope you will get to visit it once again, soon. I can’t never forget the cheese, as I’m an addict haha 🙂

  3. I pressed the button Post Comment too fast – just want to add, Dutchie will love your first point 😀 – but yes, he is not good at flirting 😀
